Since the original Super Duty launched nearly 10 years ago, the bike industry has adopted it as one of the best racks on the planet. We’ve listened to feedback, watched as cyclists transport their bikes further into the backcountry, and looked for ways to improve the incredibly capable SD rack.

The result is what we consider the ultimate evolution of the 1UP USA Super Duty Rack.

TRIED AND TRUE

Just like all other tray-style racks in our line-up, the new Super Duty is made of durable, long-lasting aluminum. So, no matter what lies on the road ahead, your rack can handle it. And our racks only touch your tires to prevent unwanted wear and tear on your frame or fork.

At the hitch, the new SD retains the original and proven integrated anti-wobble corner expander ball used on all our aluminum hitch racks. Simply tighten the security bolt to remove all the play from the hitch and enjoy a wobble free connection for miles to come. It also features the machined slot which allows for three inches of depth adjustability to fine tune your vehicle fitment, while still utilizing the included hitch bar lock. From there, we’ve upgraded everything to stand up to today’s bike hauling needs.

MORE CAPABLE

We've increased the thickness on the side plates and pivot beams to bump the tray capacity to a whopping 100lbs for the first two trays.

In addition, we’ve extended the spacing between each bike spot by just under 2” to provide additional clearance between bike spots.

And if that isn't enough, the new Super Duty is now compatible with the Wheel Chock we introduced on the Xtreme Duty rack. The chock is designed to cradle the front tire and reduce the steer tube rotation, stabilizing heavy e-bikes and offering more stoutness off-road. The wheel chock is highly recommended for bikes over 75lbs and while driving in more extreme off-road scenarios.

CLEAN AND TIDY

Current 1UP USA rack owners often comment on how they forget that the rack is even there when folded up. The new Super Duty is no different. When folded up to 90º, the rack protrudes as little as eight inches from the hitch. The single bike option allows for most rear hatches to open without lowering the rack.

LOOK MA, ONE HAND!

The glide bar and red lever have been completely redesigned to offer a stronger connection to the arms that hold the tires. This update gave us the ability to introduce a press and lift feature that allows you to disengage the ratchet and open and close the arms with one hand! Now, loading and unloading your bikes is easier than ever.

With that redesign comes even easier loading and unloading with the optional ramp. The rack arms now extend all the way down allowing uncomplicated mounting of the ramp to roll heavy bikes onto the rack.

ADJUSTABLE WHEELBASE

Over the last 10+ years, bikes have gotten longer and slacker, increasing the wheelbase. Instead of just making the trays longer, we opted to introduce adjustable width trays giving you the option for 4 different tray configurations: standard at 54”, long at 58”, and offset to either driver or passenger side at 56”. This gives you more versatility when mounting multiple bikes to clear handlebars and seat posts, and gives tall riders more room to fit those long rigs.

FAT CAPABLE

Being a Wisconsin based company, we’re no strangers to fat bikes. We were one of the first bike racks that accommodated fat tires via a spacer kit without any negative impacts to the rack. Now, the new Super Duty is fat bike ready for 5” tires straight out of the box!

READY FOR ACCESSORIES

The new Super Duty utilizes the same add-on mounting system as our current Quik Rack system making it reverse compatible with your current add-ons and most accessories.

Available as a single or double base rack with the option to add two add-ons, the SD is just as modular as the original. Plus, we've introduced a new Super Duty Roof Rack featuring the same one-hand operation, wheel chock integration, and up to 100lb capacity.

All of our racks are backed by our lifetime warranty, and should any accidents happen, every part of our racks are available to purchase and can be easily replaced with standard tools.
