WHY CHOOSE 1UP USA?

1UP USA designs and builds every product in the United States using high-quality materials. Each rack and accessory comes with replaceable parts and a lifetime warranty, giving you reliable protection for the long ride ahead. From hitch racks to bicycle security, 1UP USA makes gear you can count on.

Why Use a Chain Lock?

A bike chain lock offers stronger cut resistance than a cable lock, making it a solid choice for bike theft protection when you’re parked at a trailhead, rest stop, or campsite. The 1UP USA Chain Lock comes in 8' or 12' long chain lengths with a 1/4-turn locking mechanism the option to match keys across multiple locks, so you get reliable protection without juggling extra keys.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The 8' chain lock gives you enough reach to secure 1-2 bikes through the bike frame and front wheel. If you need to loop through the rear wheel as well or lock down 3-4 bikes on your rack, the 12' longer lock gives you the extra chain length to cover more.

A bike chain lock sits between a cable lock and a U lock in terms of security level. Cable locks are lighter and more flexible but offer less cut resistance. A U lock provides maximum security in a compact form but has limited reach. A chain lock gives you a good balance: more theft protection than a cable with enough length to wrap through your frame, wheels, and bike rack.

Yes. Multiple locks on the same order come keyed alike. If you already own a 1UP USA lock, enter your 3-digit key number in the Order Comments field at checkout, and our team will do its best to match it.

Loop the chain through your bike frame and at least one wheel, then secure it to an immovable object like a fixed bike rack or sturdy post. Avoid locking to anything that a thief could easily lift your bike over or cut through. The longer your chain, the easier it is to reach a solid anchor point.

Yes. The Chain Lock pairs with any 1UP USA hitch rack, including the Quik Rack, Heavy Duty, and Super Duty. Thread the chain through your bike frame and wheels, then lock it to your rack for added security during quick stops.

Yes. The Chain Lock is backed by a lifetime warranty against factory defects or breakage under normal use, just like every 1UP USA product.

NEED HELP DECIDING?

The best bike lock depends on where you ride and how long your bike is unattended. A chain lock gives you strong bike theft protection with enough reach to loop through your frame, wheels, and rack. Choose the 8' for everyday stops or the 12' for securing multiple bikes and reaching solid anchor points. Consider your setup, your riding habits, and the level of protection you need.

Chain Up, Ride Out

Protect your bike at every stop with a chain lock built for serious bicycle security.
