This summer, we partnered with Can'd Aid to get more kids on bikes. We had a big goal: to raise enough money to purchase 100 bikes and helmets. Not only did we hit our goal, but we exceeded it! And it's all thanks to YOU.

Our mission was to get kids outside, on two wheels, and living healthy, active lives. We're incredibly excited to say we smashed our goal and donated 116 bikes and helmets to kids!

If you purchased anything from our site between June 27th and Aug 18th, whether it was a new rack, accessory, or collab bottle or tee, you helped make this happen.

RACK UP THE GOOD VIBES AND HELP GET KIDS ON BIKES

We're on a mission to get kids outside, on two wheels, and living healthy, active lives.

Together with the help of Can'd Aid, a national nonprofit that rallies volunteers to become catalysts for change in their own communities, we're giving away over 100 bikes and helmets to kids in need. And we want you to be a part of it!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

June 27, 2014 to August 18, 2024, a portion of proceeds from all purchases at www.1up-usa.com will benefit Can’d Aid’s Treads + Trails program. From bike and cargo racks, to storage products, to hats and tees, everything you purchase will help support a great cause. 

WHAT IS THE TREADS + TRAILS PROGRAM?

Through the Treads + Trails program, Can’d Aid has facilitated the donation of over 11,000 bikes. Local volunteers in each community are empowered to participate in bike building events, where they are tasked with assembling Can’d Aid’s signature cherry red bikes. Completed bikes are then donated to children in high-need schools—often the very first bikes some kids will ever receive!

WHO RECEIVES THE BIKES?

With the help of Can’D Aid, we’ll select a Title 1 school to surprise with brand new bikes! This effort aims to provide kids with a reliable mode of transportation, promoting physical activity and independence. By focusing on a Title 1 school, we ensure that our resources are directed to a community where they can make the most significant impact. Our goal is to empower these children with the joy and freedom that come with having their own bike.

FOLLOW ALONG

This summer, we'll rally the community to help build the bikes and deliver them to a school where each student will receive a brand new bike and helmet to take home. Our friend, Jeff Lenosky, will help build the stoke and encourage kids to get outside and live healthy lives. Then, we'll pull back the curtain and suprise them all with their very own candy-red bike and helmet!
