The 2.5"–3" Hitch Adapter easily converts 2.5" or 3" hitch receivers to a standard 2" size. Specifically designed for newer heavy-duty trucks, this essential adapter ensures a safe, secure, and hassle-free fit hitch-mounted racks or accessories that use anti-wobble, wedge style hitch bars.

Offset Style* — features an L-bracket design that positions the hitch bar to directly contact the hitch receiver wall. This configuration allows the expander ball mechanism on compatible rack units to function correctly, delivering a tight and stable connection.
*2.5” offset adapters are only compatible with slotted hitch bars and 2”–2.5” Slotted Hitch Bar Locks.
*3” offset adapters are not compatible with hitch bar locks. A Velcro Strap is included for secondary attachment.

Expandable Sleeve Style* — offers a simple, rock-solid installation. Featuring a more traditional style sleeve that expands in both directions, it allows the hitch bar to stay centered. This design will work with both expander ball and wedge style hitch bars. A precision-machined slot allows compatibility with your existing 2”–2.5” Slotted Hitch Bar Lock or a standard 5/8" pin—including those used on Recon Rack and Moto Rack systems.
*2.5” expandable adapters are compatible with the included standard hitch bar locks.
*3” expandable adapters require a hitch bar lock pin long enough to clear the width of a 3” receiver tube in order to be compatible.
