RAISING AND LOWERING YOUR BIKE RACK

In this episode of Shop Talk, we walk through how to raise and lower your bike rack to make accessing the back of your vehicle easier or to reduce the footprint when the rack is stowed.

QUIK RACK (QR), HEAVY DUTY (HD), SUPER DUTY (SD)

To lower the rack, start by unscrewing the safety knob, then lightly lift the rack to remove pressure on the black bar. Pull the bar evenly until it clears the notches on the side plates, then gently lower the rack until it hits the stop. To return it to the ride position, lift the rack until the black bar springs back into the notches. Don’t forget to tighten the safety knob before driving!

To raise the rack into the 45° or 90° vertical positions, lift slightly to unweight the black bar, pull on the balck bar to clear the notches, and then lift the rack. The bar will spring back into place once aligned. You can stop at 45° or continue to 90°, depending on your storage needs.

For those carrying multiple bikes (two, three, or four), there’s an optional EZ Pull accessory that relocates the black bar to a handle at the end of the rack, making the adjustment process even easier.

EQUIP'D (EQ)

The Equip'D (EQ) model features an integrated handle, simply remove the pin, pull the blue handle, and raise or lower the rack to your desired position with ease.

Whether for convenience or compact storage, raising and lowering your rack is quick and simple across all models.
